[eyelash's crying bloody murder]

(I am going to paint again for this one)

My friend younjoon is a poet.
I love her poetry.
Her every single letter pops out and becomes images.
I am proud of her.

My one of project will be illustrating her poetry.
I love the feeling somehow we are connected even though we are far away.

"eyelash's crying bloody murder" is her one of representative poems, and also title of her first published book.

I wish I could translate into English- but I am scared of ruining the beauty of original poem.


[속눈썹이 지르는 비명]

박연준

내 나쁜 몸이 당신을 기억해
온몸이 그릇이 되어 찰랑대는 시간을 담고
껍데기로 앉아서 당신을 그리다가
조그만 부리로 껍데기를 깨다가
나는 정오가 되면 노랗게 부화하지
나는 라벤더를 입에 물고 눈을 감아
감은 눈 속으로 현란하게 흘러가는 당신을
낚아! 채서!
내 기다란 속눈썹 위에 당신을 올려놓고 싶어
내가 깜박이면, 깜박이는 순간 당신은
나락으로 떨어지겠지?
내 이름을 길게 부르며 작아지겠지?
티끌만큼 당신이 작게 보이는 순간에도
내 이름은 긴 여운을 남기며
싱싱하게 파닥일 거야

나는 라벤더를 입에 물고
내눈은 깜빡깜빡 당신을 부르고
내 기다란 속눈썹 위에는
당신의 발자국이 찍히고
